From the moment you arrive into Kilamanjaro Airport, prepare for an experience like no other. Immerse yourself in the daily life of Arusha, Tanzania. You'll see first hand the School of St Jude and tour the school facilities, meet the students and even visit the family home of some of the students.
You'll find yourself lunching at local cafes before visiting The Small Things Orphanage at USA River before your accommodation that night is with the Students of St Jude.
The highlight of the Trip is to visit The Power Of One Project's main charity, The Cradle of Love Baby Home.
Imagine yourself at the local markets shopping for the babies needs at The Cradle of Love Baby Home and visiting with the babies themselves.
You'll also see the local sights, with cultural experiences from the Masai Boma, sights of Shanga, The Plaster House, Safari to Lake Manyara National Park - a beautiful little park which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. Also home to an amazing variety of birds and animals - Travel to The Nogoronroro Crater, the largest intact crater in the world. Over 19 kilometers wide, Nogorongoro crater is filled with great areas of Acacia forest, Hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain 30,000 animals.
Zanzibar Extension: extend your trip to include 2 days exploring Stonetown's restaurants, Spice Tour and Prison Island Tour where you'll see the giant land Tortoise before returning to Zanzibar airport to return home.
Throughout the trip the group will have daily debriefs and activities to assist you in understanding any emotions that may arise during the trip and to acknowledge and allow some space with your the experiences.
The trip will also include a workshop where you can create a vision and purpose statement for your life.
